Welcome to the south east branch


Welcome to the South East Somerset Branch covering Castle Cary, Wincanton, Bruton, Zeals and surrounding villages.  We are a relatively small but very friendly group and always welcome new members. We have a full programme each year of apiary visits and educational meetings in addition to the Beginners Course run January to March each year.   We also have a core of very experienced beekeepers who are always happy to help and advise new beekeepers and members of the public. We have recently established a new Branch apiary where we aim to provide practical beekeeping training for new members as well as provide an opportunity for more experienced beekeepers to swap ideas and try new techniques.

 BEGINNERS' COURSE 2026

The next Beginners Course will be held at Ansford Academy, Castle Cary starting Tuesday 13th January, 7pm for six weeks.
