This taster day is designed to help someone decide if they want to learn more about bees and perhaps become a beekeeper. It provides the small group of attendees with the opportunity to talk with experienced beekeepers, get a feel for what is involved in keeping bees and to see a colony up close and personal for the first time.
The event is primarily aimed at those who have not had any involvement with bees and this taster session will whet their appetite for more knowledge. It is for complete newcomers to beekeeping and not for those that have already joined a beekeeping group or completed an introductory course.
The fee is £10, which is refundable to those who attend on the day, is payable in advance.
There will be tea/coffee and cake, plus time for discussion.
